All the Pingyao–Datong high-speed trains depart from Pingyaogucheng Railway Station and stop at Datong South Railway Station. All the normal-speed trains depart from Datong Railway Station and stop at Pingyao Railway Station.

- Address: 14 Zhongdu Road. Near the west gate of Pingyao Ancient City in Pingyao County, Shanxi Province; Chinese 平遥县中都路14号
- Location: 1,000 meters to the northeast of the west gate. It is about a 10-minute walk from the west gate.
Pingyaogucheng Railway Station, Chinese 平遥古城站
- Address: Zhongdu Village, Pingyao; Chinese 平遥县侯冀村与杜村之间
- Location: It's about 8.5 kilometers (5.3 miles) from Pingyao Ancient City. You can take bus 108 from the railway station to the ancient city and the journey takes about 40 minutes.
Datong Railway Station, Chinese 大同火车站
- Address: 4 Zhanqian Street, Pingcheng District, Datong; Chinese 大同市平城区站前街4号
- Location: 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Datong South Railway Station, 17 kilometers (11 miles) from the Yungang Grottoes, and 22 kilometers (14 miles) from Datong Yungang Airport
