Zhangjiajie Railway Station opened in 2008, after four years' of construction. It is under the jurisdiction of China Railway Guangzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd. At present, it serves only normal-speed trains.
Though with only about 20 trains passing it every day, Zhangjiajie Railway Station has trains that connect the city with major cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Nanning, Guiyang, Yichang, Zhanjiang and Zunyi.
Zhangjiajie Railway Station is located in downtown of the city. It is about 5 kilometers (3 miles) from Zhangjiajie Airport, 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Wulingyuan Scenic Area and 68 kilometers (42 miles) from Zhangjiajie National Forestm Park.

Zhangjiajie Railway StationTo Wulingyuan Scenic Area/Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
There are shuttle buses from Zhangjiajie Bus Station, which is just beside Zhangjiajie Railway Station, to Wulingyuan Scenic Area and Zhangjiajie Railway Station with the interval of 10 minutes. It takes about 1 hour from the station to Wulingyuan, and 1.5 hours to the National Forest Park.
To Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport
It takes about 20 minutes to take a shuttle bus from Zhangjiajie Bus Station to Hehua International Airport. The bus station is just a 2-minute walk from Zhangjiajie Railway Station.
