Future China · GUANGZHOU
Trace the shift from manual assembly to smart EV production in a single day. Visit an auto lighting factory and XPENG's smart base to see how skilled labor, automation, and scale coexist in China's evolving auto industry.
More Than A Visit
The day moves beyond a simple traditional-versus-smart contrast, revealing how skilled labor, flexible production, and automation each serve different needs within the same automotive ecosystem.
EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS
A glimpse of the people, atmosphere, and connections that give this experience its character.
Observe manual assembly, semi-automated production, and quality checks inside a mature automotive-parts factory.
Learn why people remain important when different models and smaller production runs require quick adjustment.
See stamping, welding, and final assembly through a guided introduction to automated and human work.
The Closer Moment
The contrast is most revealing when it moves beyond the idea that one factory is old and the other is new. A worker adjusting a process, a semi-automated line, and coordinated robots on an EV production floor each show a different part of the same industrial system. By the end of the day, China's automotive transformation feels less like a slogan and more like something you have seen at work.
Good to Know
This experience suits travelers curious about China's manufacturing landscape, industrial upgrading, electric vehicles, and smart production. It is designed for those who value a guided, on-the-ground comparison of two manufacturing settings and want context for the roles people, process flexibility, and automation each play.
